Online Painting Workshop – Technical Drills Series
Note: This is a self directed and paced online course, recordings of the classes will be available to you once you have registered. You may join the course whenever and complete it on your own schedule. For each session, there will be 2-3 exercises and student will receive one critique per session once all the homework for the session are sent in.

‘Technical Drills’ is a self paced online course with the focus on understanding and practicing the fundamentals of painting. We will be learning how to mix value with limited palette (earth color) hands-on. With the classical painting exercises developed in the 18th Century French Art Academy, students will have ample class time to practice the seeing and mixing value with limited palette (earth color.) There will be Q&A and critique time in class. Demos will be done in gouache. Students are welcomed to use water media or oil. Feel free to use materials on hand that you are comfortable with.
